These three artworks were created for the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture events to celebrate Nazim Hikmet Ran’s birthday at Haydarpasa Train Station.

We used Nazim’s poems to create these images, immigrants of central Anatolia, arriving in Istanbul with their dreams and hopes in their bags. The first jump from the train to the station.

Nazim Hikmet Ran was a Turkish poet, playwright, novelist, screenwriter, director and memoirist.
